Our Story
From a frozen custard stand in Beaumont to a family table in Austin.

From Chicago to Beaumont
In 1948, our great-grandfather Vic left Chicago with his wife, Irma, and their three-year-old son, Dan. In Beaumont, Texas, they opened a Zesto frozen custard stand — the beginning of a family life centered on food.

Vic, Al and Ralph
Vic's brother Al joined him in the 1950s, and together they opened Vic & Al's. Their brother Ralph came aboard in the 1960s, when the restaurant became Patrizi's. For 50 years, it was a beloved part of Beaumont and the center of our family's world.

Made by the Whole Family
Grandma Mildred and Irma rolled meatballs by hand. Gayle worked the line, and cousins tended bar and cleared tables. Handmade pasta, homemade gumbo and sauces made from scratch were part of the food — but the laughter, loud conversations and togetherness made it home.

The Family Table in Austin
Bringing back VIC & AL'S in Austin is our way of honoring that restaurant and our Italian heritage. We want to share the warmth of the family-centered meals we grew up with — the kind that stay with you long after the plates are cleared.
